So I have had my Versa for well over 2 years (will be 3 at the beginning of August) and I really haven't done much modding with it. This summer that is changing. So I thought I would make my own thread... I see a bunch of others on here, so I figured why not. Mine probably won't be able to compete, but I'm just looking to make my car a bit more enjoyable, and hopefully keep it really clean. Also, when I bought the car, I really didn't have much money, but needed a car, so I missed out on getting some of the options I really wanted, so I am going to change that... more on that later. So here goes... I will try and update it regularly with what ever I do to it.

So to start off... here is how it sits now:

I know. Its filthy. But this winter has been BRUTAL. It is a Versa S with the 6 spd manual and value option package (I can't even remember what is included in that). Its riding on 15" Falken Eurowinter HS439 tires right now, and the hubcaps are gone (lost one so took them all off). That is the only thing changed on this car since new.

Planned mods:
Drag DR-34 wheels (17") Ordering today from the good people at discounttiredirect.com (I would recommend these guys to anyone!)
Image

Kumho Ecsta AST tires in the 215/45-17 size.. again, from discounttiredirect.com
Image

Tanabe NF210 springs... on order, should be here today or tomorrow!

I also ordered the camber kit off versaspeed. Only $30 so might as well do it right!

Also having with windows tinted... 20% all the way around. I was hoping to have that done by now, but my friend who is going to do it is extremely busy (tints for all the high end dealership from hamilton to oakville). So hopefully that will come sometime this week. Or maybe next.

Next, I am planning on adding cruise control... it is pretty much the only option that bothers me to not have, so I am getting the rostra kit after reading some of the reviews on here about it.

Other than that, thats all I really have planned. Would be nice to have an armrest, so I am going to look into that.

I look forward to doing all this and updating, and hearing your comments/advice!

You are doing the exact mods I have planned: 17s, 215 45 17s, and the Tanabe NF210s. Keep me posted!

Hey man, you're in the same boat as me.

I have a 6-speed silver Versa hatchback as well, and I just ordered some 17" wheels with 215/45 tires. I also just got my tint done the other week. I believe it's 25% on the sides and back, as that's the darkest allowed in OK. The shop didn't specify though. Hehe. I've also had mine for a little over 2 years (will be 3 in November).

I had no idea you could get aftermarket cruise control on a manual. That's cool. Let me know how that goes for ya, and how much it is. It might be something I'd look into doing because I do a ton of long highway drives.

What I really want though, and I'm not sure if it's possible, if powered windows. I didn't think crank-windows would be all that bad when I first got the car, but it's really annoying to not be able to crack all the windows.

I ran out of useable light to take pics, so I will post up more soon, probably after I do the springs on saturday (hopefully).

Looking good! I am thinking gold or silver 17" konig feathers at this point, I definitely want something light to help with rotational mass, which should help mpg, acceleration, and braking. Not by much, but you know
