ok comes the tuning part... car runs well but under any load it hesitates, I think the det sensor is bad, im also going to check a boost leak i might be having. The car still idles like an idiot, I checked the air reg valves and I think the tps might have gone bad too, do you think that would cause the motor to rev up and dip then rev up then dip and stall? When I unplug the MAF, the idle stabilizes and doesnt dip after a higher rev period. Any clues?

edit: Fixed boost leaks, gained boost. Adjusted IACVCVVAC to 800rpm, Stalling issue persists... :gotme

coil packs, injectors also check out fine, corrosion is cleared off. Looks like Im going to have to test the harness for s*** wiring, found out that a TPS shouldnt do that even if its unplugged. Anyone with a similar discreet problem?

I would first do a boost leak test to make sure the system is intact and fix any leaks. Second test the AAC valve is functional and the TPS is set properly. They did put the timing belt on 100% correct? 1 tooth off can do what you describe.

PS - did you run ECU diag to see if the det sensor is bad?

ecu check brings hack a 55, the timing belt is on the right way everything lines up, the AAC valve works. I feel like it could just the the TPS, would that cause the motor to stall tho?

TPS can be tested using a multimeter on an OHM or volt setting. You are looking for a linear increase without any drop offs or weird numbers.

Clean the IACV if you haven't and reset the idle. Also make sure you setup the TPS properly by adjusting it while hooked up to a multimeter. Lookup "adjusting tps" guide it's well documented.

My guess would be that your IACV is causing the engine to stall. It's not keeping the RPMs up high enough.

Im going to go get another multi meter tomorrow mines MIA. I replaced the IACV valve already with a new one and it does the same thing, its gotta be the TPS not feeding a steady voltage causing it to fluctuate at idle and sometimes hesitate on accel.
