I have followed the guide on here but it doesn't work. With the key @ the ON position the voltage is about 1.2V, but when i fully open the throttle it is @ .46V. Is this correct?

I have a neighbor that says my TPS has to "learn." And I believe he may be correct because my car wouldnt idle under 1.5k, but now it's idling at 1K, and feels extremely retarded and sluggish. Either way, I cant get my car to idle @ 750RPM 20BTDC. If I set it to 20BTDC it will idle around 1100.

maybe check the throttle plate screw to see what its set at. Also adjust the IACV with the TPS unplugged. Then turn the car off and plug it in again. Maybe your timing to the wrong mark on the crank pulley.

I did check it. You're talking about the little 8MM nut, right? If so, where should it be at?

I was adjusting the IACV with the TPS unplugged, cant get it to 750. No vacuum leaks. And I am timing to the correct mark, the last mark, which is stock 20 btdc for a ka24de.

You have the input/output terminals backwards. The voltage should increase as you open the throttle body, not decrease.

I've tried all the following combination's. I've tested the two wires marked with a black line, i've tested the two wires marked with a green line, and i've tested the two wires marked with a red line. No success. Bad TPS?

It always gives a reading like this, or higher, like 3.50

.46V at WOT? I thought it was supposed to be .46V with the throttle closed. Mine reads 1.95V

I'm pretty sure .46 is right, but its been afew months since I had to adjust mine. I would go through the steps to adjust again, set idle and time the car, and then reset the computer. Pretty sure it will completely reset after 15 or 20 minutes with the battery unplugged.

But my questions is, is it supposed to be .46 at wide open throttle, or at idle!? Cause mine is 1.97 at idle, and .46V at wide open throttle. And I can not set the idle or time the car, because it wont idle below 1500. However, with the tps unplugged, all issues are gone.

Should be idle.

Changed my TPS, fixed the voltage issue. Got it to .52V @ idle, which is fine. I still cant get my car to idle under 1000 though. This might be because I do not have any emissions?

When was the last time you cleaned or changed your IAC? Those are known to go bad and can cause the car to idle high. My friends is bad and his car won't go below 1200RPM.
