I did a search, but nothing came up.My top comes close to closing, but doesn't.I have to wrestle with it to get it shut.I've adjusted the hooks, but that didn't do much. Are there other adjustments?

I'm not sure if it will leak there yet. The pin (if you will) on the top doesn't even go into the hole.

Here is the gap between the quarter window and the top. The driver window still lines up good with the quarter window. And the top seems tight. I guess It probably did just shrink a bit. But when the quarter window is coming up it makes a move forward at the end of it's cycle.

Not sure if this will help or not, but a friend and I had a similar problem after we replaced the top on his Miata. We ended up having to loosen all the bolts along the rear (near the back window), then close the top and re-tighten them. Sorry if I didn't explain this well, I just woke up!

So maybe the rear can be moved forward?

I went to a shop today that told me that the tops shrink after time. Is this true? I'm still looking for an adjustment solution. I know some of you vert guys have come across this problem!?! Tell me your tops have always worked properly?!?

My buddy's sister has 240 vert like yours. She can't close the top by herself especially on the passenger side, so she never opens the top. We went to 2 different convertible top repair shops and heard the same thing. First, there's a slight variation from one to another, so some cars are easy to close and some cars are not although they are all same 240s. Yes, top shrinks over the time. There's not much you can adjust on 240 vert. If you loosen the hooks, it'll leak there. We tried that also. A recommendation from one of the shops was... Pull between first and second bow, that way frame will move forward better. I felt sorry for her because she couldn't enjoy nice weather with top down because of this problem. My top has been working perfect. Both sides are even and no problem closing it.

It looks like your top is factory original. Is your top fabric looks really tight when you close it? If so, there's one thing you can try. Remove K5566 and give some slack and put it back on. I'd give about 1/2 inch. There's silicone underneath the top fabric, so you have to pull it gently. If I were you, I'd definitely try it.

My top is very tight since I had it installed. After bringing my top up I have to pull down on one side while tapping the top up button, then latch it...then pull down on the other side while tapping on the top up button, then latch it. Not sure if this helps...good luck.

Oh yeah...as for the quarter windows, mine sometimes get like that...I just roll them down and back up. You can also push back on them a little to help guide them in the top if some of the guides are broken.

It is tight. I'm confused by the pic though, I can't tell where that part is on the top since it's just floating there.

But it shows where it goes. Just look at front area and you will know what I'm talking about. You have to undo the front area to give some slack. If it's tight as you described, most likely this will fix your problem.

Maybe your plastic window guides are broken? Mine moves forward at the end of it going up, so i took it off and sure enough they are shot.

I'm trying to find something to replace it with.

Raise your quarter window 2/3 way and rock it left and right. If it moves a lot, your guides are bad. Good quarter window won't move much left and right.

No, it's a long metal piece that goes from left to right. This metal strip holds down the top fabric.

I took that piece off, but there isn't enough fabric to still use the factory holes. Is that fabric really strong enough to resist me yanking on it to get it shut and just generally being driven with the top up? Cause once it's shut, I'm sure that's putting some extra stress on the fabric. If it is, I can drill some new holes and pull the fabric. I wont be able to use the holes that run horizontal (imagine the top down). I will have to drill the holes into the vertical part of the top.
