My drivers door sits a little low. so I played with the body adjustments which was easy. It looks great.Lines up great. But when you open the door it falls a bit. I bring this question to you vert guys because we have more adjustments.I don't know how to adjust the doors!

The vert doors are heavy. And all the extra weight on them is at the very end of the door, furthest from the hinges. The hinges were never reinforced to hold up the heavier doors, so verts tend to kill door pins and bushings.

Fresh pins and bushings can fix the sag, but only for a little while before the weight of the door wears them out again.

TO check to see if you have worn pins and bushings, open the door and then grab the end of it and move the door up and down. If it has play and slop in it, the bushings are gone. If it's rigid and the car moves with it, then you're good to go.

The only other option there really is for moving the alignment of the door around is to move the hing anchors. They're bolted to the frame and coated with seam adhesive. If you break the bond of the adhesive, I can't guarantee that the door will stay in place.

So long as you adjusted the striker in the jam to line the door up when you close it, there's really no reason to mess with the hinges unless the bushings are so worn the door feels like it's going to break off.

Nope. The latch itself has no adjustment in it, and the top thing is a guide pin. You can readjust a little with it to push the top of the door out, but that's about it.

The jam anchor is where you're supposed to make most of your adjustments.

My door sags a bit on the driver side too. In fact, just yesterday the interior light keeps coming on for some reason. I guess with the body flex and the light sensor spring thing on the door, it must be sagging enough that it doesn't keep contact to keep the lights off. I've got to go mess with it today.

I checked this last night. Thank god. Mine was good.

Yes, that's it. Here's some close up pics.

That has more to do with the nylon bushing on the striker (jam anchor). 94 did up a writeup on replacing the bushing with some nylon cylinders he bought, or you can spend about $20 on a new striker.

What happens is the nylon wears away and the door isn't held tight against the door switch. It's enough that when at rest, the switch stays off, but flex the body a little bit and it turns the lights on. I replaced my striker and that solved the problem

Another issue I think is that since the vert doors are so heavy, that bushing gets torn up quicker than usual. I noticed my new ones were gouged within a year. They haven't given up yet, so that's good.

I bought a shiny new striker from Nissan and also a new interior light spring thing. I've had them on for almost 8 months, but just recently it's gotten worse.
