I have a fairly new clutch in my '93 coupe. But I am having some clutch slipping, I know when the first garage put the clutch on they did not adjust it right.

Can somebody tell me how to adjust the clutch? Stock KA24DE, in case anybody were to ask.

Oh, and my clutch pedal has absolutely no play in it. And is very stiff. Shouldn't there be a little bit of play? It is definately tight as hell compared to my last 240SX.

Thanks all

I guess it could be a wrong throw-out bearing... that's the only thing I could think of at the moment. Other then that... I'd take it back to the shop and have them redo it. They shouldn't charge you a second time since they screwed up.

Check the pin at the pedal that goes to the clutch master. This pin should rotate freely,if not loosen the 12mm nut and turn the rod until the pin turns freely in pedal with the pedal in fully up position. If not clutch will not release the pressure from the slave cylinder on trans and the clutch will slip. This is the only adjustment other than pedal hiegth. The slave does the rest.

Thanks guys. I'm probably going under the car tonight. So I'll check the pin adustments while I am at it.

Oh, and a friend of mine who is a wiz at auto mechanics told me he heard the tell-tale noise that a worn out release berring makes. My car has over 222,000 miles on it, and he said that kind of wear is normal.

I have been having similar problems and I have also noticed that when I let the clutch out, the pedal does not come out all the way, it stops about an inch short. Also, the clutch engages/disengages at the top of the pedal travel. Does adjusting that pin change this and will it help with slipping?
