Is there anyway to read the correct speed from the rb25 using Aem Ems even if it show up half actual speed on dash?

what are you trying to do?

the aem it self is reading the wrong speed? or the gauge? because both are independent of eachother.

if its the aem, then make sure your speed sensor is set to the right sensor. as for your dash speedo, they have thingys u can buy to calibrate it

The speed signal goes from the VSS to the gauge cluster where it is converted into a voltage. That voltage is then sent to the ECU for the speed limiter etc. If the gauge cluster is not reading the sensor correctly, the ECU will be getting an incorrect voltage and could be confused by it.

OR does the AEM require the input directly from the VSS on the transmission?

The AEM has calibrations for the VSS. So yes if the sensor is off you change it.

In the VSS Options table there are two settings:VSS Cal * 8 (this is a very coarse setting)VSS Calibration (this is the fine setting)

Thanks for all the input. Will eventually do the speed sensor swap but for the time being just wanting to be able to disengage my 2-step early enough to be effective
