adjusting memory seats

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi. Love my new car Journey RWD. Having some trouble adjusting memory seats. I've set 1 and 2. I'm the main driver and always use #1. My husband used the car onc time 3 weeks ago and now the car automatically goes to #2.

What to do to get position #1 reset as the default?

Thanks!

Did you program the key fobs per each location?

Trade keys and see if that works.

Otherwise, program your memory location to a specific key fob. Keep yours separate from his.

We only use my key. He only ever would drive my car when I am with him, just as a fun thing since his car is a boring 4 dr sedan. I did use my key to program both seats.

I just don't get it. We set both seats and it was fine. Then he used position 2 and now that's the default. I don't know how to reset everything and start over.

Thanks!

That just proves this is a "mans car" -- LOL! I'm sure this will be an easy fix once you figure out the trick, I'd call the dealer and ask or just bring it in....I had a minor issue soon after purchase that was handled on the spot with white glove service.

Yes, it's quite irritating! :-)

Just hoped somebody had some quick advice. Kind of a hassle to get to the dealer, but will do.

Thx.

Here's what you do...

1. Program the the memory button "1" or "2" as usual2. During programming the memory button will lit for 5 seconds3. During those 5 seconds press the unlock button of the remote you wish to link the memory button with. i.e. Key 1 link to memory 1, key 2 link to memory position 2.....

If that's not clear enough, the detail instruction is on p.3-27 of the manual

Good Luck.
