ok i got an adjustable wastegate from atp turbo that they say it is a 12 to 14psi w/g and adj. up to whatever the turbo can handle i guess. what i need to know is about the adjustment rod and bolt. when the rod is unscrewed as loose as it allows does that mean its at that 12 or 14 psi level? or do i have to tighten it all the way? i want to run anywhere from 14 to 16 psi on a my gti-r turbo and i'm just alittle mystified about how an adjustable actuator is adjusted. i don't wanna overboost and blow my motor when i'm only getting tuned for 14 to 16psi.

The longer the rod, the less boost.

The shorter the rod, the more boost.

We used to use a similar method on Skylines when I was in Japan. Cept ours was a tad more barbaric...lol. We just stuck a pry bar between the turbo and the wastegate actuator rod and bent it. Good for 14psi all day for free
