adjustable cam sprockets?

ok im looking into a set of adjustable cam sprockets for my rb26. first let me state my engine is stock except for a full rebuild. its got a single turbo conversion and power fc d-jetro. im using this setup strickly for srifting. now what i can make out u would need adj cam sprockets to help determine ur power band? is that right ? so would it be a good mod to invest in? i want as much low end power and torque. imput please.thanks, paul

adjustable cam gears are most useful when a rebuild is done as well as when swapping out cams.

To properly set them you should dial in your cams (read, not set to ZERO).

Once there, you'll need to get on a dyno and start adjusting from there. Depending on your application and preference and what you want to achieve, you can alter many variable such as cylinder pressure, spool, etc.

There are many manufactures to choose from.

It goes much further than the typical, "at what settings do I achieve the most low end or max power" it's just like another piece of fine tuning you motor.
