Hi Guys,

I believe that we can take our stock cam gears and make them adjustable for pretty much free.I will try that with my spare stock cam gears.I will cut the inner circle, make an ajustable brackit (simple) ,and mount the peice that we cut to the brackit that we made, it might not look as neat as tomi ones or others, but it will be as functional as others.

What do you guys think??

This thread has a variant of the home made cam gears. I actually have a 2 pair of them as one is being used on my built motor.

go for it... I like low cost modsI kinda understand what you're sayin.Putting the adjustment bolts further outward, near the cog, will make for a stronger part and finer adjustment, I'd think. Probably want a lot for those Tomie$$$I've read a post where someone added only an HKS intake cam (256 or 264, can't remember) to his ca18det.. "BIG difference". Those kinda testimonials always grab my attention. Funny thing is, I see lotsa guys today run MORE duration on the exhaust can than the intake! All the older turbo grinds were the opposite - and keep in mind, these cats went stupid fast on far less technology

Ya, I got couple extra cam gears, I will attempt to make them adjustable, they don't look hard to modify.

I will keep you posted.

Thanks,
