Nobody here makes a center disc and modifies oe cam gears to make them adjustable ??... as seen on some other forums with weak aftermarket support (which can actually be a blessing sometimes).I'm no machinist, but it would seem like a simple, straight-foward and inexpensive excercise.

as quoted from andiqqqq in 'cam guide' thread"Hi. I(n Poland we find out that if you move intake cam 1 tooth of pulley your torque will increase about 15 to 20 Nm and 5-7 HP. Torque is higher in a whole graph"

andiqqqqdo u advance or retard the intake cam. One tooth is 7.5°

Could be a worthwhile mod to 'snack on'.Some claim to put those dead exhaust cam to good use by timing them correctly = same results as the desirable/hard to get ca16 inlet cam.

The gears will still be usefull if you step up to performance cams

after reading what that guy did with the tooth and stock cam pulley. I went out to my car and adjusted the tomei cam gears that I have. I was waiting to get some real cams, but i figured if it helps what the hell.

anyways stock JDM cams, I advanced the intake cam 5deg. and it definately pulls better in low to mid rpms(smoother). high rpms seem the same.

seems to run alittle richer according to my a/f gauge. but thats a narrow band so who knows how accurate it is.
