Has anyone bought these before?

They are on ebay and the price they sell them for isnt too bad. Has any CA member bought a pair? I was thinking about picking up a set. A Buy It Now price of $119.99 doesnt sound too bad.

they list CA and RB as being the same, they are not, I'm very sceptical, I believe they are RB only

I'm with Danny on this one. However I've contemplated making my own cam gears simply because it appears that it would be painfully simply to make.

For future reference..

It'd be interesting to see what a pulley setup designed there would cost..

I saw those same cam gears a couple weeks ago and was wondering the same thing. They don't look too bad in the pics, but might look diferent in person.

I have played around with emachineshop before... The software is alright to work with, but designing in any detail takes time. As for pricing - I recal a crank pulley I designed would have costed around $300... so umm yeah. It gets cheaper, and cheaper the more units you have them produce of the same design. But the problem there is - you don't want to do a run of say 100 to find out something doesn't fit quite right. Maybe if someone had the money to throw down on this, they could buy a set of tomei, hks, etc cam gears - and copy them into the cad software, then have a set produced...check em out, and if all went well set up a group buy or something.

On a side note... I have always heard that rb and ca cam gears are different... but no one elaborates on that all. What is different? Diameter, number of teeth, width, offset, what? Has anyone compared them side by side and found them to be different?

cool, thanks for the info. While we are on the subject - Maybe its just my eyes playing tricks, but side by side the ebay cam pullies look to have a wider belt surface... Is it possible they designed them wider, to accomodate for the offset difference, hence fitting both ca, and rb? I know - retarded idea - but it just made me wonder thats all
