Wow! Akito posting in the CA section? That's new!

We're working on a CA car for some fun times, and we're trying to find a good spot for the cam gears. Out of curiosity, what gear timing are people running for their cars?

For my part I do use stock unit wich has been machined come out to cost me about 100$, it's cheap and realible. The other is most of person do use ca18det made by tomei, hks. Quite expensive about 250-350$ depend with shipping.

guess i should have mentioned that the motor already has adjustable gears on it

He did post that, you just have to read it more closely. He's wanting to know what amounts of advance or retard you're running on the intake and exhaust cams. Where they are set at?

wouldn't the settings be listed in the instructions that cam with the camshafts?

Tomei, HKS, etc. make specific adj. cam gears for the CA? I though i read somewhere that you have to use some of the RB motors, those would work?
