It has rained all night and when I looked outside, I noticed on the wifes vert that water is pooling a little bit between the center and rear support brackets in the roof. Obviously the roof could use re stretched, but rather then going that route, has anybody ever added any additional support rails in the roof to just tighten it up enough to not allow the water to pool?

That pooling just means the top is old. When you close the door it puffs outward too, doesn't it?

Adding additional support doesnt sound to easy. You have to keep in mind that the top was designed to fold up and be as compact as possible. Adding additional supports may interfere with the mechanics and not allow it to retract properly. I would suggest propping a golf club in there to make a high spot and force the water off of the side. Plus, it gives you an excuse to stop by the driving range and take a few swings, to make sure the club is strong enough to handle the abuse it will take as a prop that is . Just get it stretched when youve got some time.

I looked around and did not see any, but is there a tutorial on stretching the top?
