Maybe i'm talking nonsence here i'm not the brightest bulb when it comes to car stereo systems but i'll ask anyhow.

Whould it make sense to add a battery to the trunk dedicated for my sound system? It consists of 1 sub, comps for the front and 2 amps (1 for sub, 1 for comps) Sub's rms is 360W and comps are 100W.I know it's far from a lot but i have a brand new spare battery and no use for it lol. Also, this would save me time and wire.

btw - none of the above is installed yet but will be soon, got all that in my house already.

does this sound like a good idea? If so how would i do it? One thing i can think of is that i'll need to figure out a way for trunk battery to turn on and off with "under the hood" battery.....

Suggestion? Comments?

I think if you wanted to upgrade the battery, the next step would be an Optima yellow top, or another type of performance battery, not just adding another battery....
