Adding Xenon Headlights

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Did not get the xenon headlights (part of the $2000 premium 'have it our way' bundle). The regular headlights are a little disappointing. Has anyone bought replacement bulbs and installed them to improve visibility?

Demonstrating that 'search is your friend' I found some guidance.

Has anyone tried installing products from these folks?

are you looking for HID? or just better bulb replacement?

if you are just looking for better bulbs, you can try these

Sylvania SilverStar Ultra, look it up.

there is no modifications needs to your car.

I would like to go with an HID setup for the low beams at least. That will mean installing the ballast, relay, and new bulbs. The kits don't look too challenging but I'm wondering about the projector lens and if it's the same for both EX35 headlight assemblies.

Update: Found some other threads on this topic.. looks like a kit, go in through the wheel wells, and some hardware installation.

i am really disappointed with the light output of the halogens. in fact, i took my ex35 to the dealer today to see if they could adjust them. no luck. they were in perfect adjustment already so the dealer recommended i look into other bulbs.

i just ordered the silverstars (thanks for the suggestion, previous poster!). i'm hoping they will improve things a bit. i understand why you are looking to add xenons.

now onto replacing the cheesy floormats......
