I was researching on this site how to add tip tronic to your rogue and i figured out that after 2010 when the rogues got the facelift they stopped coming with trip tronic.

if you have a rogue that didnt come trip tronic and is from 2008 to 2009 you CAN add the tip tonic feature and it works 100% but you will only have the + and - on the Shift assembly not the paddle shifters. You do NOT have to change the cluster.

If you only put in the shift assembly without putting in the tcm it will NOT work

It also depends on your trim package. My rogue is a 2008 sl awd without trip tronic all i bought was the shift assembly and the 08 awd tcm with manual mode ill show you how to differenciate the serial numbers on the tcm so you know what you have

After JM if there is a odd number that tcm it is manual mode equipped

You can find your Tcm on the back side of the battery tray

For 2008 models
31036-JM10A FWD
31036-JM30A AWD

For 2009 models
31036-JM12A FWD
31036-JM32A AWD

As you can see after the JM* there is a 2 stating that its for the 2009 model

I have this done on my car there isnt any cutting or splicing required its literally plug and play, i will post pictures tomorrow of the finished product

THIS CANNOT BE DONE TO ANY ROGUE 2010 AND UP

Slightly off-topic:

I wish the Rogue came with a manual transmission. It would be perfect for this type of SUV.

I have sometimes wondered what, if anything, I'm missing out on by not having the paddle shifters. as for the manual transmission, I dunno. I suppose with a competent driver behind the wheel, possibly. Given my lack of coordination, that let's me out.

There was a thread a while ago from a guy who started playing around in the manual mode on his Rogue. It seems that they all have manual mode, some just don't have the hardware to turn it on and operate it. He had issues getting it to shift, but it was probably due to his method of trying to shift it. He was trying to hop ground off the manual mode pin to the shift pin (I guess he got the idea from a discussion on another car) and it wouldn't shift, just lock into a specific ratio. I suspect it would have worked if he had just left the manual mode pin grounded and switched ground on the shift pins. I've thought about playing around with it, but I don't have time.
