Adding sub to non-bose

I'm pretty sure this has been answered somewhere, I havent found it yet... I have an 08 M35 base it has the base (non-bose) six speaker system. I am wanting to keep the factory head unit and just add an amp and sub. What will i need to do to accomplish this? Thanks

This is what I had to do because I had base audio as well. To keep factory head unit, you need something like a JL cleansweep. This is what I used before I changed over to an audison bit one. cleansweep is the cheaper option. This will allow you to keep factory head unit but gives the option to add external sub/amp setup.

Audio Control LC2i works great when trying to add an amp & sub without breaking the bank.

I would also get the remote bass knob if your amp doesn't have one.
