Adding Sub to Factory Radio

hello,
I have sub and amp that I want to install in my new car. I don't want to get rid of the factory deck if I can avoid it. Can anyone recommmend an easy solution to split the sub signal without installing an aftermarket head unit.

I have tried a 25$ filter before and ended up having to purchase the aftermarket head unit to get the Low Range signal to the amp.

The filter, etc you described earlier was likely not the correct one for the application. You require a line output/level converter (LOC) that accepts speaker level inputs and converts to line level the amp can use. It connects directly to the L & R speaker wiring.
