I don't know much about this stuff so I'm hoping to get some input from you guys, and sorry in advance if I'm boring you to death

Is it possible to put spacers on the OEM 19" rims that the 06 coupe comes with, as the one in my sig?

I'd like to bring out my rims a little more from inside the body kinda like u see on many after market rims.

Thanks for your input.

Get 20mm for the front and 25mm for the rear. They'll sit flush with the fender after that. Just make sure you get hub centric wheel spacers with extended studs and preferably a brand name spacer.

Thanks for your reply John. I was doing some research and ppl suggest 15mm front and 25mmm back. You're saying 20mm front. Do you get any rubbing in corners or when going over speed bumps?

Also, which brand do you suggest? H&R, Eibach or Project Kics? Do you have any pics of your car? I'd like to see what it looks like if at all possible.

Thanks for your help

If youre on stock suspension then you'd have no problems with rubbing. For me, I'm sporting the stock 17s until I save up enough for new wheels, but I'll take some pics in the morning. I only have 20mm spacers on the back and none in the front so you can see the difference. I am running H&R spacers with extended studs by the way.

Thanks John. I can see the difference. I'm about to order the H&R spacers. The only thing that's holding me back is that they do not come with bolts. Is that true? I hear that the Eibach Pro have them but I can't find them anywhere. Another alternative is Ichiba but they seem sorta cheap.

There are 2 different types of spacers, ones that come with extended studs and ones that come with studs pressed in.

pressed in studs

extended studs

So basically the ones that come with the extended studs, the studs have to be put in by myself right?

Secondly, on an '06 G35 with the oem rims as you see in my sig, are you sure 20mm in front won't rub? I will not be lowering my car.

Thanks for all your help and input.

If you're on stock suspension, I'm almost certain you won't rub. With the extended studs, you'd have to remove the current studs and put in the new ones.

I'm wondering if I should go with 30mm in the rear. Do you think that's overkill?

Yes 30mm in the rear is overkill and will more than likely rub. that would make the rear offset 3mm.

Actually, if you're not lowered, I don't see any way you can rub since you'd have some wheel gap... After I dropped my car, the 20" wheels I had were rubbing like crazy so I had to put the stocks back on...

Ok guys, now I'm crapping my pants. My spacers came in today. I ordered 20mm f and 25mm r. Well, they sent me 20mm f and 30mm r. Like I said, I'm not dropping the car but I hope i don't rub in the rear.

If it does then send 'em back! Most decent companies would send you the correct size without you having to send one back...

I doubt they'll ship me new ones without me having to ship these back, but if they do, first guy to pay for shipping gets these for free!

I'm really hoping that on stock suspension they wont rub. Prayers needed!

Well...they finally arrived and I had them installed the next day by a good friend who owns a shop.

First of all, it turns out they shipped the correct sizes. 20mm F and 25mm R. The spec sheet inside the box can be very confusing.

The grooves and hubs on my brake rotors were starting to rust so my mechanic took them all off (even though the rear spacers already had studs in them and just needed to be bolted onto the rotor) and cleaned out all the rust and painted them with black anti rust paint. It looks bloody awesome. The car now looks 100x better. Best couple hundred bucks I ever spent.

Thanks to all for all your help!

Old thread I know. But beautiful car. Nice example of spacers improving the look. Aggressive but also very "classy". (I hate that word, but it applies here). Used some on the rear of a previously owned car and it made a world of difference. Good thing your buddy has a shop because some tire/wheel places won't work with spacers for liability reasons. I had to pull mine off before taking that car in for new tires. PITA.
