Anyone use those recharge kits of R134a on their A/C that they sell at like Walmart etc? They look fairly simple to use.

If so, how were the results. I haven't done anything to the A/C since I bought the car. I have a 2000 Infiniti I30t. A/C is cool, but could be a tad cooler.

Any feedback on this stuff, or should I just take the car somewhere and have the A/C serviced / recharged?

I've never done it myself, but I do have some words of caution. It is important that no air get into your system. Also be sure not to overcharge.

I work at Autozone so I get those kinda things for free sometimes. I recharged my system with the R134A and it seemed to get pretty cold...before my compressor hose ruptured and sounded like a shotgun squad.

Just make sure you don't overfill it. It takes alot less then it says, lol.
