Adding Power to Rear of Console

Went on a road trip in my 2010 G37x Sedan recently and was surprised to discover there are no power outlets in the rear seat area or trunk. We're constantly charging cameras, powering laptops, making espresso... well, maybe not espresso.

The aft end of the center console seems to be begging for a power outlet. But there's a duct right behind it. Before I start prying on anything I thought I'd ask about space limitations.

Does anyone know if there is sufficient room behind that rear covering?
