I just came across this item online and had never seen this before... It claims to be 100% OEM paddle shifters for the 2007+ G35 Sedan... Does anyone think this would really be as easy an install as they claim? Anyone had experience in doing this? Potential problems??? What would be a good price for the paddle shifters?

Thanks for the advice... Dave

I went ahead and "pulled the trigger" on this purchase... It was going on Ebay for $200 so i couldn't pass this up! I should get the new paddle shifters in UPS next week and will let you know how the install goes. These are 100% OEM Titanium Paddle shifters with all wiring and harness connections. Ebay seller assured me that this is a 30 minute retrofit that is a quick connect. I'll do a write up when I do the install to let you know how smooth it goes... Wish me luck!

I'm still waiting to hear about the spolier and you're buying a paddle shifter?

Sweetie? Is that you? Wheeww, For a second there I could have sworn that you were my wife!

I come on this forum to get support from you guys! I get enough at home! C'mon brother, give me a little boost of confidence here... I'm scared enough to install this myself without you guys second guessing me...

Take pictures of all the parts and the wiring harnesses/plugs. If this ends up being a simple "bolt up" option for non-sport G's then it would help others know what to pull from wrecked versions....

I certainly will. One requirement that I know is mandatory is that you must have ELECTRONIC telescoping steering column in order for the wiring to be in place... I checked my steering wheel today and it already has little clip covers that you have to remove and the paddles just fit in place and bolt on... More to come and Film at 11...

For some reason I was thinking paddle shifters were supposed to be attached to the steering wheel and not the column? I could be wrong though, but I thought they would need to be on the wheel for upshifting and downshifting when steering wheel top isn't at 12:00? I've never driven a vehicle with paddle shifters though...but I'm sure either way is hawt!!!.....cause the less you gotta move your hand to the sport stick shifter is more time when you're in control with both hands on the wheel! Just get a grounding kit if you don't already have that and those paddle shifter will really be a blast! Good luck with the install!!!

Some cars have them on the wheel other have them on the column depending on the manufacturer. I know ferrari, the first car to really have them, has them on the steering column.
