I was wondering what would be needed if it was possible to add the factory nav display to my quest that came with standard display as well as installing dvd monitors to overhead console that came without the monitors

Welcome to NICO!

The setup is like what's in the first generation Rogue, so the short answer is don't bother. The nav unit is separate and requires additional hardware. It would be far easier and cheaper to get an aftermarket head-unit that would offer better functionality (especially for navigation).

This will give you a better idea of what's required: http://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts-li ... isual.html

what about adding dvd player and monitors for the kids in the back using existing overall console and radio controls?

Sorry, I really don't know. I do know a member in the Rogue forum did a nice upgrade by doing a twin DVD headrest-upgrade

I just investigated this one in detail - you want NO part of it. I even had the donor car in front of me to do as I wished - it is a can of worms. You have to mess with the wiring harness in the dash going down to under the passenger seat...it's not worth the headache. Even if you get it running, you still have - in the case of 2004-2007 Quests - a dated Nav system. I would go aftermarket if you have to have one..

(On a hilarious sidenote, Nissan thinks this system is still worth over $3.5K to replace from the dealers :lolling: )
