I've been trying to search everywhere guys! How can I add an MP3 player to my stock HU. I have a 2002 Nissan Altima with the Bose stereo and indash 6cd player/changer. There is no AUX option on the HU though im not quite sure what its got in the back! Help me out guys!

I'm not finding any aux input devices for your vehicle. You may be limited to an FM modulator, wired or wireless. Tune the radio to the set frequency and it plays through that channel.

Wired models have to be wired in series with your FM antenna. Wireless ones just need 12 volts and plug it into your MP3 player and it transmitts an FM signal to your radio through one of 4 or 5 frequencies.

You can pick up either model for under $50

Well, there's this:http://www.logjamelectronics.com/soundauxniss.htmlwhich feeds the radio through the factory CD changer socket. It's a slick enough idea, but for me the problem is that the adapter cost more than the radio (and, adapter, harness and DIN cubby) I chose:http://walmart.scosche-cars.co...44710I agree with wanting to keep the Bose, despite its fragility and reliability issues: it fits. It looks great in the dash, and for those of us who keep the volume just low enough to still hear those irritating sirens back there, it sounds fine. But it won't do MP3s, and unless you're going to put a fair amount of money into keeping it, the technology has outrun it. I don't have an iPod. I'm waiting until someone starts making some accessories for it before I'll get one.

Thanks for the help guys. I just bought one of those FM transmitters from radio shack, a monster cable one. No matter what they sound like ***. Im big into how my music sounds and i want it just right. It sucks that these cd players dont have AUX capabilities! I've had too much bad luck with my aftermarket stereos being stolen and would just like to keep things stock looking as well as being able to keep the steering wheel controls which i love! Hmmm, there has got to be something else i can do!
