Hello everyone I am new here and I was wondered if anyone can help me or tell me how to add xtra key on my altima in other words what is tthe procedure thank you

go to your dealer, and ask them you want to get any key for your altima.

or you can get one on ebay, and take it in to the dealer to get it reprogrammed, it will be cheaper that way, since i think they only charge you $50 for that, and almost $200(?) if you buy it from them.

oh man, i didn't see that you have a 05 altima when i was replying, either way you can still just take it to the dealer to get them make a copy of your key, or just take it to lowe or home depot to make a copy of your key, and it's cheaper this way.

thank! i have actually being browsing this forum for almost 2 years now after buying my altima, just now getting around to join the club, as i'm finally having some free time to do some mod to my altima.

hello thanks for your answer I guess i needed it to say I own a scanner with capabiities for inmobilizer and i need the procedure how is it done so i can conmpare my and do step by step

Shalom, Im not sure what you are talking about.

Do you mean that your key is a "smart key"?

Or are you referring to some sort of aftermarket alarm system?

my apologies yes is a smart key i guess nissan called NATS or transpondermy sincere apologies I need to know how to add key to the already 2 that came with the car reason I have a carman lite unit and it supose to do this procedure but this is what i am asking

Is not user programmable. It must be programed at Nissan with Consult 3 and an active internet connection and Assist Nissan Repair information from what I understand.

The technician must get a PIN read and enter that info into the Nissan Web to get a security code to unlock the steering then ID the key fobs.
