There are four round sensor-like things in the front bumper but there is not a front sonar system in the car. I'm assuming these are for the tech package and some of those features like adaptive cruise control. Does anyone know if there is a way to reuse these for an aftermarket front sonar system? I'm thinking they might be just fillers in the bumper (since I don't have the tech package) so might be able to just pop out and replace with aftermarket sonar kit sensors and run them to the control unit that will be installed in the dash.

distance cruise control is radar based and isnt in the bumper, its in the lower grill and is a box about 2"x 5".
I doubt you'll be able to add it afterwards.

So here's what I'm talking about. I did some searching on autotrader for 2011 M37S for sale and I didn't see any with the four sensors like on mine. Not sure what they are for but I bought my 2011 M37S used like this. Can't say I've seen any like this from the 2011 line. Any ideas?

I haven't been able to find a front bumper on any M37 (2011-2013) with them so I don't think so. I'm guessing it's something aftermarket the previous owner installed but I need to investigate and see if they are hooked up to anything. My thought is the previous owner had a front sonar system but before he sold it, he removed the controller and just left the sensors in the bumper rather than pull them out and have to fill in the holes or replace the bumper.

Turns out it was an aftermarket addition the original owner did. The dealer I bought my M from must have disconnected power and removed the switch but all the wiring is run. A little work to get the sonar system running again but I should be able to use it. Thanks for the help.
