I have a '92 coupe with all of these options, (cruise, power windows, and power mirrors) and i just bought a '90 F/B that doesn't have any of them, and I want them all in my '90. Could anyone throw me a frickin bone here for what to do to swap it all in?

For the mirrors can i just take the mirror itself off and put the other one in?

On the cars without this stuff from the factory are the wiring harnesses there, just not hooked up to anything, or how does this all work?

I know the inside door panels are different, but was just curious if anyone had any ideas for a lil help!

Thanks!!!

I converted my '89 FB base model to a 91 FB SE w/HICAS--except I didn't intall the HICAS system or the ABS. It also had power locks. If I remember correctly, the drivers side harness is shorter and disconnects from the main dash harness. However, the passenger side door harness is part of the dash harness which spans all the way to the "super multiple junction" by the fuse panel. this same harness I believe has the wiring for the power mirror switch. I am pretty sure that my 89 was not wired for PW, PL, or PM. (I still have the entire engine/interior harness) Also I had to change out the lock/ latch mechanism to the power one. It takes a lot of time to convert all this but if you really want it like I did, then it is worth it!

by power locks, do you mean true power locks, or the locks that when you lock/unlock the driver's door the passenger door locks too?

yes, when you lock/unlock the drivers door the passenger door locks/unlocks as well. and if you open the passenger door with a key from the outside it will unlock the drivers door as well.

I have a 92 sx hatch that has the one power door lock on the drivers side that will open the passenger side. But when I put the key in the passenger side it only opens the passenger door.

Are there other options?

Also I have a DEI alarm and just got the door interface cable. I was told that its a pain to install....

Does anyone know where the door relay is to connect the alarm to?

Help

That's actually how it's supposed to work....that was what they considered power locks for these vehicles
