I thought it was standard on the '06 M's. The back seats just heating alone. ???

Thats what I thought also - well heating and cooling both. Curious to why this car doesn't have it then...

If it's prewired for the heating and cooling and you're interested, i have a seat of black seats that i might be selling in the near future, and i'm local too..

Well before you get too excited about the Climate controled (heated and cooled) seats in this car let me tell you. These seats do not heat that well. Unlike some other cars (like my previoius car) the seats in this car blow warm air up though the perforations (holes) in the seat to warm your body. This works, but not nearly as effective as the heating element style heated seats that just warm you butt by being just under the seating surface. Now maybe Ms that have just the heated seats work fine. But these climate seats with the fan aren't that great. The cooling feature seems to work okay, but I have nothing to compare it too.

you should check to see if it is possible just to get new seats and get them wired in. if not then some wiring might need to be done to get the power to the heating and cooling fans under the seats.

Is there any write ups on this? Or possible User Manual on the seats - think a infiniti tech would have to chime in on this one

I know the heating isn't the best but would love the cooling option, just really surpised the car came with out it.

Hey, don't get too excited about the seat climate changes. My '71 Saab 99E driver seat heated a hell of a lot better and the cooling is really just in name only. I mean I'm used to it and so it's no big deal, but if you are looking for dramatic results, forget it. The rest of the machine makes up for this weakness, the poor mileage and the oil dipstick buried in a black hole...

Is there a user guilde master list to the service manual where I could possibly see what the seat entails. I think its just a fan in the seat and a small heating component.

I still would be interested in doing this

Joe
