I know its kinda ghetto...but have any of you guys add washers to your wastegate instad of buyiing a boost controler,,i have a friend with a t25 on his civic and he did it ..i told him he was a fool and that it was riceish....and to stop being cheap and buy a bc

dont do that.spend the money and buy a b/c.they are so many of them out there you canget used if you can get a new one.

I did it briefly. It did add about .5 psi for every washer, but boost response was crap. I got a free MBC from my buddy, and boost response is amazing now. 10psi is almost immediate at any RPM above 2500.

Boost controllers are super easy to make. I used to make them all the time in my DSM days.

I just found this website on it, it's not the same design I used, but it looks good. just make sure you use a soft spring and you won't have to worry about overboost.

I'm installing a manual boost controller this week. It's a bit different from any of the others that I've seen. I've attached a copy of the website. You'll have to DL the file to see it, as they only allow you too see an article a certain # of times without paying for a subscription to their magazine.

OH, and I got all of the parts to build this boost controller for $53.46 shipped online. I didn't get them from the same source they did.
