Adding Backup Camera

Hungry sales guy claims that the backup camera can be added to a base '07 M35x once nav has been retrofitted. Comments on this forum indicate that the trunk lid isn't prepped for the camera in the base model. Is the sales guy full of it or can this be done?

Anything can be done... How much you want to pay for it? New Trunk lid? New wiring harness? Did he tell you how much it was going to cost to retro-fit the Nav system in a non-nav car? Salesmen will say pretty much anything. Get it in writing with a price!

Doesn't it seem so much easier to wait and keep an eye open for a used M35 that comes with what you want? I visited cars.com every day for a month before I found the car I bought.

like nightwatch said......anything can be done, but at an expensive price; make sure you get it in writing. and trust me, the backup camera system for the M is amazing. id wait and get an M that is already equipped with it though.
