Just wondering if anyone knew if it was possible with the premium audio stereo. I really don't want to lose my bluetooth and steering wheel controls but the RF doesn't hit hard at all.

If you keep the factory HU you can get an adapter and utilize aftermarket speakers and amps. Granted it's not optimal but it works and you will still have all the controls. Optionally, if you replace the HU as well you can get a PAC SWI-X interface for the steering wheel controls but you will still lose your bluetooth capabilities that way.

Look at Rockford Fosgate and http://www.pac-audio.com should have something available. Depends on what you want to accomplish.

You can get an amp that has hi-level inputs and tap off the rear speaker wires.

Maybe, but with a LOC, it's generally necessary to use it as the only load on the speaker leads from the HU.

The rear speakers are so weak anyway, you might as well disconnect them and enjoy the imaging from a front stage + sub stage only.

I have hooked up a 1000 watt kenwood amp and a 12 in mtx sub to my stock stereo tapping into the rear speaker cable, you have to mess around with your settings a little, but I have my set up hitting nice and clean now and damn that car has some good acoustics .
