What would I need to get to have this accomplished in my s13 240sx non-abs? And yes I've heard this is pretty difficult to do, but I'm all up for it if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to do.

I'm just wondering why you would want an ABS system.

I go up to the mountains often and just want abs for a safety measure + LA traffic.

Thats a big 10-4. I was just thinking that you had to deal with some slick roads to do this type of conversion.

To change to stock ABS you need:

- harness (at least the rear one, probably the engine bay harness and dash harness too)- ABS unit- front brakelines- ABS computer- front rotors and sensors- diff with ABS sensor

I've only ripped the crap out, never put it in. This is what I can think of.

If you really want ABS, sell yoru car and buy one that alreday has it. There's no way it's worth the time and effort.

In my old 89' SE, I used to try to slide around corners in the rain. You know, brake drifting. Well, the ABS stopped me everytime and made me MAD. I unplugged the ABS fuse under the hood and all was good haha. I also hated the JUMPING brake pedal feel when ABS kicks in. The car would also shake and skip and everything sittin around inside the car would need to be tied down because of the crazy shaking (it caused my cd player to die too). ABS is for panic brakers or people who just don't have many braking skills. It is not a safety feature for the *non braking* driver, but a safety feature to help drivers like US from gettin rear ended. Without ABS on that cadillac, my car's rear end would be destroyed because the old lady didnt know how to stop! Anyway, yeah, if you want ABS just get a car that already has it. The hell you would go through to put the ABS in and the price it would take to get individual parts would cost to a used car model WITH the ABS feature.
