does anyone know where I can find an article or writeup for adding A/C to a car that wasn't equipped with it from the factory?

I've got a black S13, and even in moderately sunny weather, I die, the sunroof helps a little, but not as much as I'd like, so when I get around to doing an engine swap someday, I'd like to install A/C at the same time,

thanks for the help,

Ok, a rough list of things you probably need. I think you should find a wrecked DOHC S13 in a junkyard and start pulling parts. Below is a rough list:

1) AC compressor and bracket2) AC lines and fittings3) AC dash control unit4) Refrigerant reservoir (not sure if 240s have them or not...)5) Appropriate wiring and plugs.

Oh, and it's probably not a good idea to put "universal sp style muffler" in your signature, it's hardly a mod to be proud of, seeing as it adds ZERO power and contributes to the rice factor.

actually, it added plenty of power, since I took out the stock front muffler, which actually had a 1.5" restrictor, and now I have a 2" cat-back straight through exhaust,

It doesn't sound like ****, and how is adding an exhaust rice? eh? just 'cause I didn't buy a $500 cat-back doesn't mean it doesn't add power,

You might want to say you have an exhaust, not just a muffler, and it didn't add "plenty of power" sorry to break it to you, maybe your butt dyno registered some sort of "sound power" but the honda myth of a 25hp exhaust just isn't true.

did I say 25hp, not I said I gained enough to notice, MAYBE 5hp if I'm lucky, but there's more kick to it than stock,

but my question wasn't about my muffler nad it's "ricyness" (which seems to be the most talked about topic on NICO these days) but it was about going through and adding A/C to my car,

I hope to add it when my new engine comes about, and I hope that my clip will have it, but I'd like to see a 240sx A/C diagram, if there is such a thing,

Xero i wouldn't buy used a/c parts from a junker. Do it right and buy new lines and atleast a rebuilt compressor from a parts store. If you get leaky lines or the system has been discharged for a long time the parts can go bad. Moisture is not an a/c systems friend.:)
