Added Security Plan

Have you purchased or considered purchasing the Added Security Plan (Nissan's name for their extended warranty).

I am interested in members' opinions on what plan if any to buy, and what price their dealer charged for the plan.

I got the Gold + Preferred warranty just before I hit 36000 miles. Covers 7 years/100,000 miles ($50.00 deductible) for $1100.00 which they said was $100.00 over dealer cost. 10% down and financed for 17 months at 0% interest.

purchased at 35000km dealer demo car...transmission went at 36000 kmcovered

at 65000 need wheel bearing dealer said it would have cost 500 coveredno cost

at 65000 need a tie rod cost 300 covered

the plan cost me 720 dollars at zero interest over 60 months

for 100000km 3 years

this car simply needs a longer transmission warranty like hyundai of now gm 160000km

Yep, I did when I hit 35,200 miles on my 2008 SL AWD Rogue.

I bought my Security Plus - Gold Preferred warranty (6yr/100,000 miles) with $0 deductible for $1539 (normally $1614). That came out to be 10% down ($153.90) and 17 installments of $81.47.

I bought this online/over the phone through Nissan of Santa Rosa. Jesse Ford was the guy who helped me when I called and knocked off $75 for me. They had by far the best deal on the warranty. My dealer wanted $2100 for the same warranty! Everything was done via UPS 2nd Day Air and they paid for shipping of the documents both ways. Just be sure to keep the customer copy of the forms

It doesn't matter where in the USA you buy your Nissan, you can buy from any Nissan dealer. I bought my car in the Chicago, IL area Jesse was able to help me with no problems whatsoever. The transaction was very smooth.

Same here. Pricing may have been a little different when we purchased ours but we used Nissan of Santa Rosa as well. Haven't had to use it yet.

I'm about to pull the tirgger and get this thing in the next few days. I'm at 31,000 right now.

Anyone else got a really good deal on this?

I got mine at my local dealer Sunbelt Nissan in Augusta GA. They gave me a special price because I have bought 4 Nissan's from them over the last 8 years.
