I'm wondering if anyone knows if they will bring out the subwoofer, the factory add-on, as a normal add-on. I'd like sometime like that that is hidden away and still get tons of space. I don't want to go over wild and take up all my trunk/hatch area with a full blown system. Also does anyone know any information on a wiring harness along with if an Aftermarket head unit will be able to connect that subwoofer.

The sub that comes with the audio package they sell is just an 8" Rockford Fosgate. I'm not sure what line it's off of, and it's probably worse than their worst aftermarket sub. Do yourself a favor and buy a decent 8" sub that you can amp up to at least 400w. You can make the spot they would use for their sub work for that one without taking up much space. I have a 12" viper in my trunk and it takes up almost half of it.

As far as a wiring harness, there isn't one out yet, but I'm sure it will follow soon after the rest of the 2007 line is released. However, an aftermarket deck can be put in easily by splicing into the wires. I would suggest putting a new deck in with 4 component speakers and the sub, otherwise you wont have a good balance of sound. Putting the sub in without a new deck is a little tricky; I did it myself, but I had to use a HILO adapter and splice into the right speaker, which makes my sub a little less powerful than it could be with a new deck.

For what it's worth, I once had some Boss 10" subs in a Kia. The subs actually produced a lot of sound at a very reasonable price. One might be able to find a similar 8" or maybe 10" sub. The amp should easily be placeable under the passenger seat, there's tons of room there (plus it will keep the amp from overheating).

I Had The Boss AMP And Sub Combo In My Mazda Mx-3 Hatchback And It Knocked Big Time Bass,Then I Put It In My Accord Sedan And It Was Barely Heard! But For The Money It Was Awsome. The Versa Should Not Need Much To Knock. But I Do Agree With A New Radio,This Way You Get The SUB Out Rca Jacks For Better Bass Set Up.

Perhaps one of our Canadian friends with the Tech Package can answer this.

I would assume so, as Nissan lists a different trunk mat "with Audio Package".

While this is true, I believe that there is a shortage of the sets with the specialized trunk mat. Mine came from the factory with the standard trunk mat and the left side is just folded over to allow clear space for the subwoofer.

Behind the right side wheel well, the grille is there even if you dont get it. There isn't a lot of space behind that panel, so that probably means the sub they give you sucks. I'll upload some pics of my setup insofar.

Theres still a decent amount of space in the trunk, especially if I fold down the seats.

Just a shot of the sub itself.

Not a bad sub, but see I really want it as consealed as possible, would rather have something that is more hidden like a stealth box setup. I know that is more of a custom setup, but meh I guess I'll have to go to a place and get something done special for it maybe.

I need to take some pics of my setup. I put in a new head unit, AMP, hard wired my GPS, new speakers throughout and a 10" sub. I want more BASS though. Got a sealed box now, think I migh have to go for a bandpass box.

Jemdawg, are you running that sub off the stock amp? I assume you got the 6CD changer 280 watt unit that comes with the Tech package (here in Canada anyway). If so how does it sound?

An Alpine V-Power 400W RMS Mono Sub Amp. To add on a sub to a stock deck with no RCA outs --like the "premium" sound system-- you need a HILO adapter. A HILO adapter basically allows you to splice into one of the speakers in the system and transmits that signal from the deck to the aftermarket amp. You lose power to the amp by doing this, but I had the amp and the sub already and I wanted to get a double-din deck instead of switching out the stock one for a single din alpine i have laying around from my old car. But anyway, it sounds get even though it's only pushing about 200W right now.
