...Mine :ohno:

And the truck was a smash hit. I had a great time and the truck handled it better than I expected even though it was still a handful. Driver needs Practice Practice Practice!!

It does make it look like a Sunday drive. Meanwhile my arms were sore the next day from working the truck around the course. For the next event I plan to mount the camera inside the cab and under the truck so we can watch the rear axle articulate. Making some much needed changes while I have some time off the race schedule.

Let's update this. Been a long time.

Sometime between event #2 and #3 I removed the overload leaves. It did wonders for rear end compliance. The ride is smooth too on highway trips. I just have to be careful how much I load it with stuff to haul. I also added a set of 225/50ZR15 extreme summer Dunlop SP9000 tires on 15x8 American Racing Outlaw I wheels. Not sure on the off set, not measured. The wheels are ugly but they fit nice and are super light weight. The tires are pretty soft, not Hoosier soft though. Also jettisoned the AC compressor and brackets. Also removed the spare tire. All the weight removed was close to 100 lbs. The truck feels more peppy now and more excited to get up to speed. The 3.9 gearing kills it in corners but stopping and turning is pretty decent.

The truck runs really good and so I have decided to stop building it. I am going to just run it and learn. Learn and experiment on truck #2...

First event of 2014 was yesterday at Delphi in Henrietta NY. Most of the other drivers hated the parking lot conditions, I happened to really like them. My truck really likes slippery short courses! The torque and the tires worked in my favor. I had a co-driver this time and it was his first time ever cone racing. He did really well!

Still waiting for more pics and the official results to be posted.

My thoughts...the truck understeers pretty bad. Need LSD for next season. Dunlop SP9000 tires turn to goo really quick. The truck handles better with lower tire psi. Stock engine has plenty power to get itself around the track. Whiteline lateral locks seem to help turn the rear sway bar into a 'poor man's' panhard bar too. Switching to 225/50R15 tires on 15x8 wheels is the ticket. And finally the 'lifter tick' I thought I heard is actually a noisy #1 injector. Those are my thoughts.

Next event June 8 at Rochester Institute of Technology!
