I have the 2013 JX35 and new I was going to need a new transmission. I had also been experiencing very rarely that the car wouldn't speed up fast. I thought this was the transmission as well. The dealership said that was due to an error code on the adas control unit which they said I need to replace.

Has anyone else replaced this and does that sound right?

Sorry no one responded. Did they provided their reasoning for this? Did you end up doing it?

It sounds like the ADAS (I have no experience with it) is the brain for much of the safety features of a car so if they think it's putting your car into a safer power mode (such as limited throttle response), I guess it makes sense.
