Has anyone made an adapter sleeve or found a factory sleeve that will extend the release bearing toward the pressure plate to eliminate the need for a flywheel spacer or milling the case?thanks,Jared

I know that I remember seeing both done in swaps with adapter plates but cannot remember the application nor find the posts.

Ha, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. How far did you extend it? Willing to make another?

The fat part of the extension is the same thickness of the adapter plate.I would make another but i have no material left in that diameter, plus postage from Sydney may be a little pricey, your best bet is to have an engineer make one for you.I can try and make up a diagram of it and post it here to save engineer time/cost.

That would be awesome. I need to make one, and have the tools to do it, but would love to know the specs.

Wait, by doing this arent you putting the clutch disc way ou on the tip of the transmission shaft? Basically so close the teeth might not be going through the clutch entirely? Also not spacing the flywheel out would make it impossible to use a pilot bearing. Right? I'm just trying to picture how this is working.

The pilot bushing actually sits deeper in the crank than most people realize on Nissan, there is more than enough room to space it out further.

Also depends what gearbox and bellhousing combo you are using, how long the input shaft is, where the pivot point makes the clutch fork sit, etc... obviously this was needed for this particular setup. My thrust bearing also has a spacer to make it touch the clutch. Gearbox locates in the spigot bush just fine

I think I remember seeing someone do a similar swap but use a bearing sleeve from another vg trans that was longer, but I can't seem to find the link now.
