Just heard about it and came here to post. I've been a big fan of there's ever since I purchased their License To Ill album (back in '97?) and then Intergalactic hit the radio.

Sad day. And the biggest loss to music for me so far.

Seriously a legend. Did so much for so many other artists and also everyday people. DECADES of platinum selling music to boot.

The song that put me on:

"So you're hot to trot, you think you're slicker than grease, I got news for your crew, you'll be suckin' like a leech."

I just watched "Beats Rhymes and Life" which is a documentary on A Tribe Called Quest, they interviewed Beastie Boys in the film. They all looked terrible. Watching them there and then going back to the video above is like FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

Pioneers in a genre that has become as flat as yesterdays soda. It is indeed sad.

I was cranking LTI in my first car, on cassette tape, when I was a junior in high school... In memory of MCA, crank this s*** up.

Thats probably going to hit Rick Rubin, not the individual members.

Pretty sad though. I have a feeling it wont win anything substantial, if anything at all.
