This questions is for anyone who has done the active to standard coversion on the Q45's:

How does one bypass the power steering pump? Does one need to change the pump out to a standard pump? I ask this question because I have heard of people doing both, and I am asking this question on behalf of a customer. I told him it was possible to drain the system and plug off the portion of the P/S pump that was for the active fluid, but I would like to try and get some confirmation. Any input would be great, thanks guys!

I think you just double the hose back into the pump, so it recirculates in a loop.

Seems like a great opportunity to put a small cooler in line. I think the ZX's have one as an option.

I believe Jerry Tucker in San Diego uses a simple 'loopback' on the care he converts. Check with him.

Me I just supply recahrged accumulators to active folks so they don't have to convert.

Send me the old active parts please. I'll rework them and keen someone else active
