94 Q45a - 48,000mi.

My ACTSUS light is on and I performed the diagnostic which returned a code of 23 indicating a faulty rear right height sensor. However, last week the ACTSUS light went out. I was able to adjust the height of the car and then later on in the day the ACTUS light came back on.

I am considering replacing the sensor. However, before doing so I am planning to take a look under the car and do a visual check of the height sensor.

Has anyone here experianced problems with the height sensors?

Hey, weldome to the board. For active questions in particular, you want to read all of texasoil's posts. If the moderators don't move this to the Infiniti Online Mechanic Forum, post there. Most, but not all, posts of interest for the active system will be there.

For the rest of the car, read all posts by Q45tech.

wow, you've got a low mileage unit. misadjustment of the height sensors can do bad things to the balance of the front or rear pressure control valves, due to the torsion bar effect. is the rest of the active system still functioning properly? texasoil is the guru.

The rest of the Active system is working ok, just no height adjustment.

Can the height sensor be adjusted?

Also, I was looking at a post from texsas oil regarding Stabilant 22, which is an electrical contact enhancer @ zerothread?id=151455.

yes, Keith (texasoil) is a big proponent of Stabiliant 22. I've not ordered it yet, although i plan to eventually. your rr height sensor sonds like it could be intermittent electrical, and yes, they are adjustable (see fsm page FA-35). I've not messed with my rear height sensors.

do you get the 'belt squeal' (which is really the main pressure valve spoolup) on some/most of your engine starts? i do.

The only time that I notice a belt squeal is when I am low on steering fluid. I have a leaky rack and pinion, which I will be replacing this week.
