I know this is a long shot...Does anyone know the inner/outer diameter of the metal lines on the Active Suspension system? I don't want to keep waiting for back ordered parts and two of the lines are leaking due to rust. I have measured the lines and they do appear to be 10MM outer diameter. But like I said the line is rusted.

And I know I am probably pushing it but does anyone have any info on the flare nut fittings (Thread pitch, diameter)?

Getting the car on a lift with a blow Active Suspension system is a huge pain!

I really don't want to end up talking to myself on this topic!

I took off one of the hoses that is half hydraulic (rubber exterior) and half steel line.I took it two two of the 4 local hydraulic shops. One told me they have never seen the fittings on the ends. The other said it was illegal to reuse the fittings on the ends. I am not sure on the laws regarding that...If their are any.

So basically I am asking if anyone knows someone who can make hydraulic hose. It needs to have a small flange joint on one end and a I bolt (Banjo type) on the other.

If not I can't wait for the dealer to get me one (backorder) and I may have to sell the car for what I got it and put into it. Or worse sell it to the local junk yard.

I only have two leaks, One which I described above and the other on the line that runs from the multivalve to the back of the car. But that one I can have a hydraulic shop replaces as its easy enough, I hope.

Does anyone possibly have the hose I am talking about? Its a return line on the rear floor...

Paul, you are never going to get ahead on this vehicle. Get rid of it! Whether you think it is worth your time and effort is your own call. I do not think it is worth it for you to keep this vehicle alive

Steve this car is worth it. I have a ton of paper work of what's been done to it. I even have the original window sticker! I am only keeping it as a spare car that will get driven on the weekend. Right now I am more motivated than ever to fix the Active. As the number 3 injector on my Q has permanently and finally failed.

Winner winner chicken dinner: http://store.fedhillusa.com/10mmfuelhydraulicline.aspx

I have to take one of the rear lines out that is part hydraulic hose and part steel line. To see if I can flare some of the above Copper/Nickel line into it.

By The Way (BTW) I replaced #3 injector on my car today. Partially pulling the plenum is cake compared to some of the other things I have done to this cars or others!

In case anyone else runs into a problem like this (Lino?) The hose that is partially Hydraulic and part steel line is no longer available. The other line (Feed) that runs from the multivalve to the rear of the car is on back order. I am on that waiting list. But for now I will flare that line in using the stuff in the link above.

Wanted to buy KNOWN GOOD Parts:

Multivalve
Power steering pump
lines/plumbing
Lateral G sensors in center console
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trying to diagnose a problem where only the Left side of the vehicle is higher than the right side. Before I cleared the codes I got a code 14.

Fluid level: Full
Battery voltage: Engine off: 12.06 Engine on: 14.26
No leaks in the system
All four actuators replaced in 2000
System was air bled using a vacuum pump. Vacuum was pulled for almost a half hour.

Paul, go for it. To one man it might be insanity, but to another it's therapy.

I plan to keep my '92 until a meteorite hits it or the world ends, whichever happens first.

So I figured out why the Code 14 existed. one of the G sensors was bad; The one in front of the shifter. So I replaced that and two sections of rusted out line. I used a standard flaring tool (American size 3/8) and so far no leaks FROM THOSE AREAS!!! The Active WORKS!

I brought the car home and just as I parked it the line that connects the rear pressure control unit to the rear main accumulator sprung a leak. So the car was slammed to the ground with oil all over the spot.

I can see why Lino hates his car now. I thought I was free and clear with those two lines and one sensor being replaced. But the Active system is only line this because of the rust.
