Anyone who wants information or assistance with an active suspension system can drop me a line [email protected] or phone (832) 651 7576

For some reason,it is 'recharge season' with numerous owners doing it. Also getting LOTS of Lexus LX-470 accumulator recharge jobs now. Dealers hit those guys $3500+ to replace the 4 strut accumulators, which go flat like all accumulators do eventually. Lexus units go 40-100K miles depending on roads and loads.

Hello Texasoil,I made a post and got a response from ceningolmo, who helped me out in finding fluid for the active supension. He also stated the you made a remendation on adding MMO to the resorvoir. I have a leak in the right rear somewhere. Can U tell me how much MMO to add and how many cans of fluid do need to fill up the system. I have some other problems, but need to correct this one first. I have an 1990 Q45a with 200k miles. Thanks

add no more than 1 pint of MMO to the active system reservoir. Be patient. If the leak does not stop/slow to 1-2 drops overnite within a week, may have to replace the strut. a few drops overnite is 'normal'

All I know. I don't think a phone number was ever posted:

LaRue Automotive near Beltway 8 and Hwy 90 on the southwest side. Both Jack (LaRue) and Andy Holden are familiar with Q45's

you got the right place. Andy no longer works there (now a project manager for a large home builder), but Jack is extremely competent and Q45 skilled

I'm putting a VH45 from a 90 Q45 into a Nissan Patrol and will be running a hydraulic winch. It appears the suspension power comes from the power steer pump? (but is hard to tell as havn't pulled motor yet) What pressure, flow etc does it run it as it may serve my purpuses perfectly.

If you read a thread started by Blunt Smoker (or something like that), I think you will find that is proprietary knowledge.

I have a JDM Q45 with active suspension, the switch doesn't seem to do anything. Sometimes the hight light lights up green when i switch it to high but not always. I start it up and it lifts up, is that normal?

For which part, the light or the lifting up? It lifts up every time and the light sometimes 'works' no matter when.

Best bet is to download and read the 1994 FSM. You didn't post a maintenance history as required in the sticky above this forum. My guess is you at least have to replace some accumulators.
