I know that The Q never came with both, but is it possible to add one option to the other to get both? Tried the "search", but no luck.

If you did it, you wouldnt be able to add the Q45 HICAS I dont think... You'd have to use the electric version of HICAS called SUPER HICAS, which was available on other Nissans.

The reason is because the hicas system and the active run on the power steering pump...

HICAS uses the power steering pump for its operation. The Active system pump has 2 pumps--one a high volume piston pump for the active system, and the same gear/crescent pump that is on standard cars. One can use the PS side of the active car just as if it were a standard PS pump.
