Stock ACTIVE car with 16" Z32 wheels, better brake pads + lines and a FSTB.

Wonder if they are 7.5" or 8.5"? The 1992 was in the garage when I visited next to the 1994 600SL.

IIRC, he said that he was able to stay with or pass the Porsches during turns, but they'd catch him on the straights.

There was something about brakes heating up so he had to sit out for a couple of laps.

I know I read his post, but it was possibly weeks ago.

A customer had a non active 1994 Q with 255/50/16 Michelins on forged BBS wheels with my sway bar mods [28/20mm], FSTB, and all new oem suspension + Tok Blues shocks. It was a superb handler......................tire make up 90% of what is possible in handling.

My spare set of wheels are all 7.5x16 with 245/50-ZR16 Yokohama's. Handling was great and never had any rubbing issues.

Tires are 255x50x16 Kuhmo high performance summer tires. Poterfield racing brake pads (work great all around) No fade ever, could brake with them all, out run all but turbo porsches, out corner most. The active suspension is amazing at how it smooths out things, keeping car quite level yet still full suspension compliance so undulating track does not cause loss of traction and line wobble. The lack of dive on hard braking enabled later braking and quicker turn in on curves as there was no need to 'set the suspension' before torquing it around. It is ALWAYS 'set'.
