Hi guys and gals, if there are any.
I have two Q’s to look at tomorrow. I am looking for additional input.
1) 1994 pearle white active with 160K on the clock. He says it looks and runs wonderfully. He also says the suspension works great. I imagine he has never experienced a properly functioning active, so we shall see. Additionally, his price is WAY to high. But he will only be a few miles away tomorrow, so it is worth the drive to check it out.
2) 1992 burgundy active (converted) with 73K on the clock. This is also a second owner. He has no idea whether the guides have been done.
If the tubing for the active was properly closed up and the pump properly by passed, is it even worth considering re-activating the active? I have no idea what actuators from a donor car might cost. Additionally, I believe the active cars were “softer” sprung than the non-active. So, if the convertion was done properly, I would also need to retrofit active springs. As I type this I think the advice will be, just give this one a pass.
OK. Let ‘er rip.
Thanks
Bruce
