NO!! do not bid on these!!!.

They are DEAD\Flat.

@ 50,000 miles they are way past there prime.

according to Infiniti Service Records my 1st set of OEM's were changed @ around 50,000 miles the next set lasted till 105,000 miles.

I replaced the last set of OEM's with Texasoil's recharged Accumulators.

The only thing these will be good for is a core charge from texasoil and that's only 125.00 for the main 4 strut accumulators.

not worth it.

I haven't got it clear from TexasOil...I just haven't asked him what the full deal is. does he supply a rebuilt, new seals etc. accuator with recharged accumulator attached?

I bought these from fxjackso after he posted them for sale on this forum. I never installed them, but if Fred says they still have a good charge, then I trust him. They are not flat.

I understand that Texasoil has reduced his accumulators to $150 each. That's a good deal, but it's still $600. These are starting bid at $99 for four.

Maybe Fred can chime in here on their condition.

GreenQ45a; What do you mean your service log shows them replaced at 50k? Do you mean you got four new actuators at 50K? That's great! Which dealer was that?

They are DEAD\Flat = less than 20% charge.

If they only have 40,000 miles then there still DEAD.Go install them in a 4200 Lb car and drive through a few parking lots and then post back again.

I have know Idea why you would think a Accumulator would hold a charge after so many miles. every time you pass over a bump and the strut travels you loose a little bit of nitrogen.

You may have magical accumulators that last longer then any other accumulators I have heard of but most OEM Accumulators were replaced @ 40,000-50,000 I would not waste the time or Active fluid to even install these in my ACTIVE Q45.

I have driven on struts from 83,000-105,000 and FELT the ride quality diminish.

You may have 20% charge left but I doubt it.

Sorry anyone can chime in to say otherwise but the only people I would take to heart would be Texasoil, Q45Tech and a Very few others.

I don't think you should compair your old used (40,000+ miles) accumulators to a "Texasoil recharged" set.

Dealer = Garcia Infiniti of Albuquerque.

Look your price is fair for flat accumulators they could save someone downtime during a Texasiol swap.Just don't clame the condition if you don't know first hand.

Like what's with the statement "Four strut actuators from a 1995 Q45a. They are in good condition with no apparent leaks."

Did you check for leaks while they were still installed on a Q?

If you don't know just say for sale that's all.

Your price for the Actuators is GREAT no bad advice on them. In fact I would charge 2.5x more.

A few of your comments:>most OEM Accumulators were replaced @ 40,000-50,000

I think Keith and Dennis would agree that this is not accurate. The accumulators are not sold separately. The entire strut must be replaced at a cost of $1000 each. Dealers just aren't that generous. This is why Texasoil (Keith) has been such a Godsend to active owners.

>They are DEAD\Flat = less than 20% charge.

I bought my car with 60k and the original accumulators. They were not flat. When they went flat is debatable. When I had new actuators installed the old ones were completely flat (99k). I am selling these accumulators with a partial charge. I have not claimed them to be new. Your opinions on how much gas is left is complete uninformed speculation. Yet you state it like it's fact. What are your credentials?

>Just don't clame the condition if you don't know first hand.

What are you talking about? I have passed along all the information I have. Anything less is a disservice.

>Do you mean you got four new actuators at 50K? That's great! Which dealer was that? Dealer = Garcia Infiniti of Albuquerque.

I'm still having a hard time with this one. Has anyone else ever heard of a dealer willingly, eating $4000? Just because your such a nice guy?!?

>Like what's with the statement "Four strut actuators from a 1995 Q45a. They are in good condition with no apparent leaks."Did you check for leaks while they were still installed on a Q?

Like, yeah. Those struts have been examined more thoroughly than any struts in history. The extended warranty company had three different inspectors looking at them, some of them more than once. They rejected my claim because they were not leaking. I wrote a letter to the attorney general and threatened a lawsuit. They only replaced them to get me off their back.

I've had my active car for five years and over that time have gotten more intimately familiar with the system than I ever intended. I think active owners should be more like a brotherhood. Let's stop the flaming and move on.

Here is my opinion--note Opinion, not statement of fact. It is highly probable the 'actuators' do not leak, but do have flat accumulators. That is why they were changed. In over 4 years now, I have not found a single strut accumulator with more than an estimated 20% charge. The 4 'accumulators' are highly probable to be nearly/completely flat and not any improvement over what you have on now (flat) without recharge. When properly charged, the internal piston rests against the bottom with about 3000# of force. I can't see why someone knowledgeable would want to buy probably flat accumulators--I offer recharged exchange with a modest core deposit which is refunded when I receive your old flat units. However, if the seller would be so kind as to point the eventual purchaser in my direction, I will be happy to recharge them at my standard rate ($150/unit.
