I know this has been discussed before but no certain preference was concluded.

I plan on replacing the clutch of an SR20DET before i put it into my S13

Im undecided as to which i should getI do not plan on boosting pass 10 or so PSI and do not race and plan to use it as my daily driver.

Should i also get a flywheel and if so throw me another option and confuse me more. CUrrently i was just planning to resurface the existing flywheel.

Thanks:ylsuper

you should go with a act non puck type clutch. i have had a act for about 3 years. doesn't slip and i make pretty good power. i have friends and customers that have the spec, and most of them slip at around 270rwhp. my act holding 20psi and 55shot.you will always want more power, so i don't believe you when you say 10psi is all you are going to run....shaun

There are several companies that make SR20DET clutches check them all for the best one to fit your needs, ACT is a very good company, but there others that have different kit for the SR20... Clutch Masters, is one...

im going with act just because i have never heard anything bad about any of there clutches for any car. I have alot of friends that use them, and love them. Ive had friends try exedy, clutch masters, even spec, and some like them some dont. Id rather pay a little more and not have to worry about the clutch for a long time.

I am using an ACT Clutch with a lightened flywheel. I like it grabs good but, hard to get used to.

The ACT in KRPSICHI3's car is the one that was in my car. It worked awesome for me. I upgraded after getting a great deal on an OS Giken Twin Plate, and we put the ACT in his car. It has been working great for him ever since.

I have a spec 4 clutch and i am only running 13 lbs. I know a guy named alan(project240.com who is using a spec 3 and he has a t28 on his s13 and an sds standalone. HE is good for high 12's now and he swears by spec as the better clutches. The engagement on the clutch is very quick and jsut a bit uncomfortable but still streetable. the spec 4 is overkill cuz itll hold 469ft lbs of torque

I went for satge 2, but if it starts to slip I can always upgrade to a Nismo 3 puck with there flywheel for 800. Its the clutch that some of you guys find when you open your engine.
